Mail Snoop Pro Version 2.15 Released

Rainbow Innovations announces the release of Mail Snoop Pro Version 2.15

23 July 2010 – Rainbow Innovations is pleased to announce the release of Mail Snoop Pro 2.15, a new revision of our anti-spam application for Windows.

Mail Snoop Pro is the ultimate, user friendly, anti-spam and email notification program. Designed to monitor any number of mailboxes, finding and destroying spam without disturbing you and alerting you when there is new mail you need to see.

The filter system rapidly checks new emails for any suspicious items. First, by checking if the sender is a “Friend”. Immediately followed by checks for blacklisted senders, subject field, senders field, message header, message text, attachments, country codes and DNSBL (DNS Blacklists)

If an email is found to be spam, it will deleted from the server, and the original can be archived for future reference, alternatively be “bounced” back to the sender or used to generate an automatic complaint to the senders ISP.

Changes in this version:

  • Fixed timeout configuration bug in mailbox properties
  • User is now always asked to select a download folder when Mail Snoop Pro downloads a new version.

Mail Snoop Pro Version 2.13.010 Beta is now available for download. This beta includes the following changes:

  • Fixed filter deletion bug, filter system rules can no longer be deleted by the user (issue 000151).

Mail Snoop Pro V2.12.026 Beta Now Available

Mail Snoop Pro Version 2.12.026 Beta is now available for download. This beta includes the following changes:

  • Added “Backup Profile” and “Restore Profile” functions to tool menu’s. These backup or restore the Users profile. All current Account, emails and filter data is saved in the backup process.
  • Added New Filter Group, “Bounce” filters check an email to see if it is some type of automated reply/bounce email sent from a server.
  • Fixed bug when an email is deleted as “not a friend”, the correct log message is now used (issue 0000134).
  • Fixed bug in “Test Filter” function, its no longer possible to make changes to a System Rule (issue 0000135).

Mail Snoop Pro V2.12.015 Beta Now Available

Mail Snoop Pro Version 2.12.015 Beta is now available for download. This beta includes the following changes:

  • Added “Delete All” function to “Emails” menu. This will delete all emails in the current mail folder. If the message is in the In folder, Mail Snoop Pro will attempt to delete it from the Server and store a copy of the message in its Deleted folder (issue 0000132).
  • Added “Select All function to “Emails” and “Filters menu.
  • Altered Country Code configuration so it accepts codes (top level domains e.g. AERO) of more than 3 characters (issue 0000131).
  • Improved speed when displaying a large activity log file.

Compatibility. Mail Snoop Pro Version 2 is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008/Windows 7.

  • Added file selector setting to email client selection in Options. This lets the user select a program file to be run, if for example the email client you use can’t be detected automatically by Mail Snoop Pro. (Issue 0000125)
