| Chronos Clock makes use of the Microsoft Agent to speak the time and announce Alarm Messages, if it is installed on your system. The Agent is an animated character that can speak text and perform actions. |
Note: The Microsoft Agent is supported on Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista. However with effect from Windows 7, the Microsoft Agent will no longer be supported and will not run. In light of this, Chronos Clock will continue to make use of the MS Agent in earlier versions but not for Windows 7 and future Windows versions.
In order to use the Microsoft Agent you must have installed a text to speech engine and one or more character files.
Please note that all the files required are copyright Microsoft Corporation and you will have to accept their license agreement before downloading. Depending on your operating system you then need to proceed as follows:

If you search on the Internet you will find lots of other Agents available, one such site is at http://www.msagentring.org/chars.aspx Make sure that you install these into the Microsoft Agent Characters directory (usually called Windows\Msagent\Chars\ ) otherwise Chronos Clock will not detect them.
